Misha

Misha

The bear keeps the danger away
Stays up all night watching over me
tucks me in when the blanket falls
sets my alarm clock when I forget
I have many a times wondered what
defensive skills this elite agent has
To protect me from so much, daemons of the
past, monsters under the bed and twisted nightmares
that manifest deep within my troubled mind.

This is the reason I choose not to grow up.
Grownups are not allowed to believe in such
things. It’s too pure, too innocent.
So little bear, I promise not to grow up
and believing in you, as long as you promise
never to leave me sleeping alone.
